Which online casinos do we really rate...

Here are a bunch of casinos that we've played at (and continue to play at) and found to be exceptional in terms of:

  • gaming options (ie game range, graphics quality etc)

  • customer support

  • reputation amongst other players (as indicated by awards/votes etc)

  • bonuses/rewards/tournaments offered.

Of course they are all licensed, have their returns 3rd party audited, and use well known and trusted software.  Give them a go and see what you think.

A household name in the UK, Ladbrokes PLC is listed on the London stock exchange and licensed and regulated by the UK Government.  Their online casino, Ladbrokes Casino not surprisingly has every bell and whistle available in online casino gaming.  It runs on Microgaming's Viper platform and offers over 300 games, including download and browser based versions.  They offer live dealer blackjack, baccarat and roulette (yes you are dealt by a real person via web cam interface!) as well as mobile phone games for both regular mobiles as well as Blackberry and iPhone.

Of course they also offer a comprehensive sports betting service for the punters out there.  Account management, support, banking and rewards programs are all outstanding.

Undoubtedly one of the best casinos out there.  The Sands (now rebranded CS Casino but still the same operators and backend) has been operating without incident since 1997, making it one of the oldest and most trusted operators in the business.  They have over 200 games including all the table game favorites (blackjack, roulette, craps, baccarat, keno, paigow, many video poker games etc) as well as a bunch of slots and progressive games.  They recently migrated from Wagerlogic to Playtech software so game graphics and playability is awesome.

The Sands' list of industry awards is impressive also, and includes:
- voted 'best online casino', 'most honest online casino' at Gambling.com
- winner
Gambling Online Magazine's 2001, 2003, 2006, 2007 reader poll, "Best Reputation"/"Best Rewards Program"
- 82% of the votes in the "2005 Online Casino of the Year" poll conducted by OSGA

Add to all this competitive bonuses and regular comp programs and you've got a stand out casino.

Golden Riviera is relatively new on the scene, first taking bets in November 2000 but they have earned a formidable reputation since then, being voted 'Best Online Casino' at Gambling.com on numerous occasions already.  Golden Riviera's support is fantastic, with prompt and friendly help 24/7 and toll free support numbers.  Their game range is pretty good with over 350 games, including all the Microgaming progressives.  They also always seem to be leading the industry in implementing new deposit methods.  Currently Credit Card, Neteller, Wire Transfer and plenty of virtual wallet services are all accepted, and rest assured if there is a new method out there, Golden Riviera will add it shortly.

These guys are a real pleasure to deal with (provided you don't lose too much of course!)

Blackjack Ballroom is a pretty complete offering.  They have been around for quite a while, and it shows.   They use Microgaming Viper software so there games are pretty slick, and include a pretty big range (around 350, including all the favorites and a massive slots/video slots/table game variations range).  All the big progressive games are offered including Major Millions, Treasure Nile and Mega Moolah.  Support is offered 24/7, with toll free numbers provided for residents of the US, UK, Canada, HK, Israel and Denmark.  They also offer all the latest deposit options including NeTeller, Click2Pay, UKash, UseMyWallet and more.    For the high rollers out there, these guys also offer some pretty high bet limits, including $2000 per hand blackjack, and $10,000 per hand in multi-hand blackjack.

Definitely the place to play if you're a high roller, with big rewards for big players.

Video Poker Classic is a great casino brought to you by the Gambling Federation.  The casino boasts over 100 games, including possibly the biggest range of video poker games of any online casino.  They also have great customer support, including a toll free number for US players.  Bonuses are generous, and most deposit options are offered, including Visa, Mastercard, Citadel, 900Pay, NeTeller, UKash, Click2Pay and many more.  Video Poker Classic is also offered in over 20 different languages.

An industry mainstay that pretty much has it all.

English Harbour is one of the industries stalwarts.  They've been taking bets online since early 1998 and welcomed their 1 millionth customer in September 2002.  In October 2001 English Harbour changed software platforms, from Microgaming to Odds On.  The have recently changed platforms again to Vegas Technology which is a definite look and feel improvement over the Odds On version.  Game range isn't as good as some of the big Microgaming/Cryptologic casinos, but still pretty solid with over 100 games, including 8 progressives and all the major table games.   These guys are great for promotions and tournaments, with innovative competitions being run every month.

If you're a regular player then English Harbour could be the casino for you.

If it's lots of games you're after then 7 Sultans is the casino for you.  7 Sultans has a whopping 400 games (as of March. 2009) with new games added to the range continually.  This includes every Microgaming progressive game, multi-hand blackjack and all the other regular games.  The range of slots, video slots and vide poker games is just ridiculous.  If you don't find it here, you probably can't play it online.   They also have great support, including toll free lines, heaps of deposit options and choice of download or browser based games.
